High School Model United Nations Conference

The Spring 2025 Conference will anticipated in March 2025

Appalachian State’s High School Model United Nations is held twice a year, in the fall and spring. The Spring Conference is typically based on United Nations General Assembly and Security Council. The Fall Conference is an expansion into as many as 10 different councils, all based in various branches of the UN and other international institutions.

Each council is posed with two topics for which they are required to discuss and create resolutions. Each semester has new topics centered around the current international political environment.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR STUDENTS PREWRITE RESOLUTIONS BEFORE THE CONFERENCE. ALL RESOLUTIONS WILL BE WRITTEN IN COMMITTEE.
