Appalachian State's Middle School Model United Nations is held twice a year, in the fall and spring. The Spring Conference is always based on United Nations Security Council. The Fall Conference is an expansion into as many as 10 different councils, all based in various branches of the UN and other international insitutions.

Each council is posed with three topics for which they are required to discuss and create resolutions. Each semester has new topics centered around the current international political environment.
